Developing This Site V3

Since the last version, the main change here is that I went back from category archive pages to custom pages. This is because I can control the structure, organization, and so on of custom pages better. I use the Blog Posts block to display posts but filter it the way I want. For example, I filter out sequel posts in my Math page, Studies section (using a WordPress tag named “Sequels”), to reduce clutter there — the starting posts will anyway link to their sequels.

I removed the auto-placed category links above posts because it would be confusing to a reader (especially one not familiar with WordPress) that it would go to a generated category archive page and not my custom category page. (This is done just by toggling a setting to hide category links, in Appearance, then Customize, then Content Options.) In general, I removed any visible links on my site that could take someone to a category archives page. (Of course, the category archive pages still exist and are auto-generated, so you could manually enter the URLs for them and still see them, but a reader of my site who is not familiar with WordPress wouldn’t know about that and wouldn’t care to access that since there are no links to those pages, auto-placed or otherwise. WordPress auto-generates these as well as other archives pages, like a list of all the posts published in a given month or published on a given day, and all these pages are always accessible by direct URL for someone who is aware of them.)
